The SiteWatch SW060 is a split core, self-powered sensor that can measure any AC current up to 60 amps by simply clipping it on a conductor (up to 0.40 inch or #2 wire) – over the insulation. The SW060 then picks up the current by induction once it is snapped closed. Reporting of the current reading is done every minute to get accurate readings for electricity monitoring purposes.
The SiteWatch SW060 is a Class A device and communicates over any LoRa gateway. The split core design of the sensor means that it can fit almost anywhere and be installed on any piece of equipment without disconnecting the wires. It can be installed by an electrician in a matter of seconds, even on energized wires. If the equipment is no longer in use, you can simply transfer the SW060 to another circuit by unsnapping it, mounting it on the new circuit.
The SW060 is a LoRa device and can transmit via long distances with safe data transmission. The sensor requires approximately 2 A to charge before transmitting so it requires the target to be any motor, lighting panel, HVAC load, or industrial process that will exceed that amp level in normal operation.
